- picking out pumpkins at a local farmstand and being happily surprised to see Bud Rider come out of his barn to help us
- hanging with Carter in his room and listening to all of his ideas for decorating his room for Halloween
- turning our old socks into a skull garland to hang in the window
- watching Branch chase a squeaky little something while we sat at our fall bonfire
