-Penn's new joyful answer when we ask if he wants to do something, "Sure!"
-finding peace, quiet, and solitude while picking blueberries with Rob and the boys; Penn ate heartily and took lots of breaks laying down between the bushes
-a chance to have a (fairly) uninterrupted heart-to-heart with Rob two times today
-feeling like I am in a really good, peaceful, learning place as a mother, wife, and person, and wanting to hold on to it forever
Good for you, Amy! If you figure out how to do that last one, please let me know. It's always way too fleeting for me.
ReplyDeleteWell...that moment didn't last forever (as I recall), but I am getting longer and longer "moments".
ReplyDeleteThis website, ahaparenting.com, has given me the framework to understand, accept, and work through many things that I didn't know how to before. I highly recommend it. It helps not only my parenting (and hopefully my teaching) but my whole outlook on people and many situations.
We'll see if I can keep it together during the fast-paced stress of the school year.
